Its been a number of years since I saw Betty. I think short after Greg Barna passed away. I used to live down the street on Starkweather. I remember when she had the beauty salon on West 11th. Those were better days. I just wanted to say may she live in eternal memory.
Betty was one of those people that everyone has a story to tell about. She had a big personality that won’t soon be forgotten. Her annual Christmas Eve dinners were the best. She would warn us every year that it would be the last because she was getting older. One year she finally did stop and we didn’t believe it so we did not make plans. That was the year of the Chinese restaurant. Egg rolls were not a good substitute for her stuffed cabbage. Goodbye grandma HOTZ and rest in peace.
Grandma we love you and will never forget the times we spent at the corner table talking about life. Betting me steak dinners on all the life lessons you Taught me. I’ll never forget that and I promise when I see you again, the steak dinner is on me. Thank you for always holding our family together and giving us the best Bar Christmas party’s anyone could ask for. We hold you close to our hearts till we meet again. We love you. My father Frank Kren used to play ball with Andy way back in the day. My father told me every time my mother Marie Kren got pregnant, Betty got pregnant. It used to be a running joke that it was my dads fault for starting up the pregnancies. My parents loved their children just as Mr and Mrs Hotz lived theirs. I am the youngest of my siblings born in 1965. My deepest condolences to the family. 💔
To my daughter in law and my son along with all of the Hotz family who have loved this special woman I offer my sincere thoughts and prayers for all of you. I ask the Lord to bring you all comfort in knowing she has reached her reward in heaven. Now we have a special angel who will work tirelessly to get us all our reward. The Lord has her safely in the palm of His hands. Please take comfort in knowing how much she loved you in this life but more now in the eternal life she has gained. God bless you and may our Lord give you peace. Betty I thank you for all the love and friendship you gave to me. I will miss you.

Condolences from the Natal family. My Mom, Iola, and Betty were friends from the Southside. Going to Betty's House of Beauty brings back many fond memories.
When Mom and Betty were both at Broadview Multi-Care I stopped to see Betty as well. She may not have remembered me, but she still gave me a smile.
