William Wienhold's Obituary
William (Bill) Wienhold, peacefully passed away August 24, 2024 at 96 years old. Born in Willoughby, Ohio to Franz and Bertha (Wilm) Wienhold. He lived his last few years in Naples, Florida, where the sunshine and warm breeze brought him comfort. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Staten) and his son Danny. He is survived by his children Linda Bartish (Charles), Suzzanne Tenkku (Jeff), Christine Wienhold, Randy Wienhold, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1949. His basic training was at Lowry Air Force Base, where he worked on gunnery equipment installation on fighter planes. He was then transferred to Okinawa for his tour of duty. He spent his career as a cement finisher, owned Wienhold Cement Floors, and was well known for his work and dedication to perfection.
He spent many winter months vacationing with mom over the years, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing. In his later years, he spent his time traveling and playing golf.
He will be lovingly remembered.
A graveside service will be held on September 7th at 12pm at Perry Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Dr., Perry, OH. A family gathering will follow at First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry, OH.
