Suzanne McGuire's Obituary
Suzanne was a life long Clevelander and sometime Latin teacher at Hathaway Brown School. She had a gifted intellect, and her interests were eclectic, ranging from matters ecclesiastical to matters mechanical. She was an avid reader of newspapers, periodicals, and books. A lover of serious music, she was a fifty-year subscriber to the Cleveland Orchestra. Suzanne was also a gifted athlete who participated in many sports & sport car rallies, badminton, swimming, and bicycling. She often bicycled to work, and on her wedding day, she and her new husband bicycled to the wedding reception after the ceremony. She had a quick wit, grand sense of humor, an inquisitive curiosity and loved teaching. Ave atque Vale.
Suzanne was the beloved wife of Frederick McGuire III. Loving stepmom to Michael. Cherished daughter of the late Nestor and Irene Betzold. Dear sister of Barbara (deceased). Caring aunt of Kristin and Samantha. Sister-in-law of Maeve.
Requiem Mass will take place at St. James Anglican Church on Thursday December 29, 2022 at 10:30AM. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110, or to Hathaway Brown School, 19600 N Park Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122, or to any charitable, cultural, educational, or religious institution of your choice.
