Susan Cohen's Obituary
Susan Cohen (nee Matyas) age 72, passed away on August 4, 2020. Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Carl Mason Cohen. Loving mother to Denise Hall (Karlis Larsen) and Shana (Dennis) Denovchek. Cherished grandmother of Casey Hall, Jack Denovchek, Benjamin Denovchek. Sister to Pete Matyas(deceased) and Shelley Miller. Dearest aunt to Melissa Bulik, Lisa Myers, Joanna Carroll, Christina Taylor and Michael Fleeger. Friend to many. Susan worked as office manager for more than 30 years at Howland Springs Water Company and then 5 more years as an office administrator at Family owned Pawlak’s Florist. Susan and Carl also had a part time catering business. In her early years, she enjoyed snowmobiling, cruising on her motorcycle, golfing and writing poetry for family & friends’ special occasions. She stayed active in politics, played mah-jong, enjoyed cooking, throwing huge parties and helping front and backstage at TNT Theater with her husband. She was devoted faith leader for more than a decade in the Sisterhood Organization. A long-time member at Beth Israel Temple and in recent years member Beth Israel West Temple.
