Steven M Hicks' Obituary
Steven M Hicks, Age 55, was born on March 10, 1969 to parents Geraldine M Burns (nee Toth) and Gary R Hicks (Sandra).
Steven passed away on May 27th, 2024. Cherished brother of Brian Hicks and Jeremy Hicks (Stephanie) and sister Allison Loeb-Munson (Charles) and step brother Johnny Gest (Lisa). He will be greatly missed by his life partner of 28 years Stephanie C Lobenthal and her entire family. He is also survived by his Aunt Dot Toth and Uncles Robert Toth (Mary Ellen) and Raymond Toth (Kate) and his Aunts Noreen Ackerman and Lynn Drost. He was also an adored Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Steven was a sensitive and caring person who’s main focus was his life partner Stephanie and his family. He always had time for everybody and lit up a room by his presence.
He went to St. Ignatius and St. Bonaventure in New York. When he came home he joined a local theatre group and performed in almost a dozen productions. He really enjoyed being part of the cast while developing his stage skills. He garnered lead roles in two of the plays and blossomed in the parts. He worked for the Cleveland Plain Dealer as a driver and back-up support person. His interests were many. He was in a choral group while he was performing on stage. He helped his Dad with his rental properties. He loved nature, birds and animals (even squirrels) … and music and the Cleveland sports scene. His special gift was how he made each and every person around him feel important, loved and uniquely cared about.
Along the road your steps may stumble Your thoughts may start to stray But through it all a heart held humble Levels and lights your way. DF
