Russell David Lynch's Obituary
Russell David Lynch entered eternal rest with his Savior on January 26, 2024.
Born on February 2, 1947, he was the first child of David and Helen Lynch, lifelong residents of Marblehead, Ohio. During his youth, he attended St. Joseph School and was an Altar Server at St. Joseph Church as well as the Organist during 7th and 8th grades. He completed his secondary education at Danbury Township. High School where he was honored to be the President of his Sr.Class of 1965. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Dayton and a Master of Education from Wright State University. Russ taught American History and Government at Colonel White High School in Dayton where he and his students enjoyed a great rapport, learning how to assume an active role in government at all levels. He became an accomplished corporate sales executive before retiring. Russ was an avid train enthusiast since early youth and was a member of the Cuyahoga Valley and West shore Model Railroad Club, and enjoyed his hobby of train photography. He was also a devoted fan of the Cleveland Guardians since early youth.
Russ is survived by his two sons, Patrick {Diana} and Shawn, both in Florida, and two granddaughters, Madison and Brynn. Also surviving are his sister, Rosalyn and brother Ray {Mary}, nephew David Schraff {Christina} and five nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his beloved parents, David and Helen Lynch, dear brother and sister, Ronald and Rita Ann, and cherished aunt Rosella Verock.
A Mass of Christian Homecoming will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Marblehead at 11:00 am on Sat, Feb 3rd with visitation at 10 am in the church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Russ’ name to St.Jude Children's Hospital.
