Ronald J Verzi's Obituary
Ronald J Verzi, age 90, passed away on November 15, 2024, after a well-lived life. Devoted and loving father of David (Perrin) and Kristina. Beloved grandfather of Colton (Evelina Zielinski) and Benjamin (Sherry). Former spouse of Sandra Gillard. Longtime friend of Janet Patton (deceased). Son of the late Sam and Mary Verzi (née Polansky).
A proud graduate of Rhodes High School, Ronald was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 318th Signal Corps. He was also a 69-year member of IBEW Local 38. He had a deep love for family, classic car shows, and was a lifelong Cleveland baseball fan. He took great pride in his contributions to building Cleveland, working in the skilled trades as a union electrician for many decades.
Ron will be remembered for his unwavering determination and his resolute pursuit of his goals, which carried him through life, even as he faced overwhelming challenges in his later years. He exemplified selflessness, always ready to lend a hand to family and friends in need.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the dedicated staff at Renaissance Assisted Living, whose exceptional care and compassion ensured his well-being during his time there, for which we are deeply grateful. If you wish to make a memorial, the family asks you to consider donating in his name to the Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network.
