Robert T. Pacanovsky's Obituary
Robert Pacanovsky, 88, passed away July 14, 2023. Bob was born on June 26, 1935, to the late
Joe and Mary Pacanovsky. After his mother’s passing, he was raised by his father and
stepmother, Frances in Flint, Michigan. He served in the US Army and attended
Michigan State University.
Bob moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he met Beverly Zelenka. They were married on July 25,
1964, and were members of St. Charles Borromeo, St. Thomas More, and St. Basil’s Catholic
Churches during their 59 years together. Bob was employed at American Greetings until his
retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, wood-crafting, and collecting
model cars.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; his sons Bob (Connie) of Akron, Ohio, and John (Lissa) of Cary,
North Carolina; his grandchildren Cassie, Adam, and Grant; sisters-in-law Jeannette Pacanovsky,
Marna Pacanovsky, Sharel Zelenka, Ann Marie Zelenka, Linda Zelenka, Pat (Rich) Dybzinski, and
Cheryl Zelenka. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty (Pat) Garber and his brothers Joe
Pacanovsky and Ray Pacanovsky; brothers-in-law Joe Zelenka, Bob Zelenka, and David Zelenka;
sister-in-law Joan (Joe) Juhas.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Yurch’s Funeral Home, 5618
Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Road, Parma, Ohio at 11:00
am. Graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery to immediately follow.
