Priscilla Ann Callos' Obituary
Priscilla Ann Callos – avid reader, woman of faith; dignified and brave – died on Monday, May 19, 2014. Born in Elysburg and raised in Milton, the Pennsylvania girl found incredible love with her late husband, John, and together they raised five children (Andrew, Mary Ann [Tisone], Stephen, Susan [Ryan], and Evangeline [Ramsay]) in Youngstown, Ohio.
Whether career mother or company bookkeeper or weekend jitterbug queen, she was graceful, opinionated, and fiercely loyal to the ones she kept close. With an “I love you, honey,” she waves goodbye not only to her children (by birth and marriage), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but also to her lifelong friends, former nurses, and – most recently – the cast of caregivers who loved her through her last breath.
A one-hour viewing will be held on May 23 at 9:30am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30am; both to be held at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 401 Twelfth Street, Campbell, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Archangel Michael Church or to Sts. Constantine & Helen Philoptochos, 3352 Mayfield Road, Cleveland 44118.
