Chuck Scaravelli
Dear Chris, Bill and family,
We just heard of the loss of your father. I did not know your father except for seeing him a few times at Gilmour functions. As my mom would say, he was a very good looking man.
I saw in his obituary that he served in World War 2. It's hard to understand what it was like to have served at that time, in a war, for our freedom, against Hitler. I know my father had stories about serving in Korea but he never really bragged about it. They just felt it was there duty. Life was so different than it is today. I loved the way life was growing up. We are very lucky to have had the families that we have.
I did not know much about Greek culture until the Venizelos family introduced us to it. It's a beautiful and special thing. God bless the Greeks.
I know that your father raised some very fine men. You are who you are because of your fathers influence and the Greek culture you grew up with. Although I didn't know him, I know he was proud of you. I am so happy and privileged to know the Anton family.
Our prayers go to you and your family,
Your friends,
Chuck Scaravelli and Family
