Petros A Petropouleas' Obituary
Petros “Pete” A Petropouleas, age 79. Devoted husband of Panagiota (nee Katsareas) of 50 years. Beloved father of Andy Petropouleas, Evie Boulas (Dimitrios) and Jim Petropouleas. Adored grandfather of Peter, Dalila and Mora Petropouleas and Panagiota, Anna, Maria and Emmanouella Boulas. Dear brother of Dorothea Bogeas (Sotirios, deceased) and Uncle of Kiki Bogeas and Evie Specht (nee Bogeas, deceased). He is preceded in death by his siblings in Greece; Tzanetos Petropouleas, Margarita Oikonomopoulos, Stavroula Fiameggos, as well as his parents; Andreas and Evgenia (nee Patouheas) and his in-laws Dimitrios Katsareas and Steliani (nee Nikolareas).
Pete grew up in village of Agion Nikon, Greece, south of Kalamata. He immigrated to the United States with his wife Panagiota and the couple resided in Old Brooklyn and Brooklyn, Ohio for the past 50 years raising their 3 children and caring for their 7 grandchildren. Pete worked at Park Drop Forge on Cleveland’s east side where he was a proud member of the Boilers Makers Local Union. Pete was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and was very close to his extended community of Greeks from the southern Peloponnesian state of Mani. He was a devoted family man and will be deeply missed.
Visitation Monday from 4-8pm at Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road Parma 44134 with Trisagion service at 7:00pm. Funeral Service Tuesday at 10:00am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 2187 W 14th St. Cleveland 44113. Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery.
