Paul H Pangrace's Obituary
Paul Howard Pangrace, age 76, fell asleep in the Lord on February 22, 2024. Born on June 25, 1947 to his parents Paul and Elizabeth Pangrace (both deceased). Brother of Carol Nielsen. Uncle of Nancy Nielsen and Kathy Warden.
Graduated from Rhodes High School; undergraduate degree in Education from Baldwin Wallace College and a Master’s Degree in Education at John Carroll University. Employed by the Cleveland Public Schools as a Social Studies teacher for 30 years, where he also was a Department Chair. Retired in 1999 and returned as a reemployed retiree to mentor intern teachers at both Cleveland State and Youngstown State University’s until 2012. Paul was actively involved with the development of Social Studies curriculum both at state and national levels.
Member of St. Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral where he was a Tonsured Reader; served as Council President; led the Church School Program and assisted in teaching Faith Enrichment classes.
A beloved brother in Christ to Orthodox faithful throughout Northeastern Ohio; a cherished and dear friend of his adopted family in Plumstead, London; and loved by a countless number of his students.
VISITATION TUESDAY from 4 to 7PM at YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Rd. Parma. PANIHIDA SERVICE at 7PM. FUNERAL SERVICE on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2024 at 10AM at ST. THEODOSIUS ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL, 733 Starkweather Ave. Cleveland, OH 44113. Interment at Woodvale Cemetery.
