Dear Friends,
We were absolutely heartbroken to hear of your mother's death. She was such a strong, wonderful, sweet and gentle lady. We learned so much from her at St. Theodosius, Russian dancing (the Troika, Boka's Knee, etc.) and so much more.
Your mom and mine, Rose Lezak church secretary at St. Theodosius for many years, would go often go to church and senior events together.
She was so positive and loving and really helped mold many of the children at the church through her dancing lessons. She will definitely be missed.
Our prayers are with you and may your Mothers memory be eternal.

Olga was one of the 40 people from Old Brooklyn who were interviewed for the book, "Speaking of Old Brooklyn . . . Oral Histories." She was a delight to interview and told us so many touching stories. We were so glad to have her in the book. May your family have everlasting memories of this sweet lady. Dear Nina, Sonya and Tim,

I have fond memories of our Russian Dance class lessons at the old church hall and the many places we performed. Mrs. Gaydos gave us so many tireless years of her time and talent teaching us the dances and providing us friendships that have lasted a lifetime. I will always remember her whistle when she wanted us to pay attention to what she was saying. It was mighty powerful and persistent! I have been able to pass down the love of folk dancing to my own children and hopefully to my grandchildren-something that would not have been possible without your mom. May she rest in peace. Memory eternal.
