Nikolaos Kalabogias' Obituary
Nikolaos Kalabogias was born on February 5,1942 in Ikaria,Greece to George and Kalliopi. Shortly there after Kalliopi took her new born son and fled to Africa.
Five years later, Nikolaos and his mother went back to Athens. There they started their new life. In 1950, Dimitri (brother of Nikolaos) was born. Their family had many challenges.
Nikolaos during his teen age years worked very hard to help support his family. He was a lifelong scholar of all things art, music and trade. In 1967 after serving in the Greek Air Force he met the love of his life Kiki. In 1969 their first daughter Kalliopi was born. In 1970 they embarked on their journey to America.
In the promise of a better life. In 1972 their second child Emmanuel was born.
Later that year, he started working at Ford Motor Company. There he worked very hard to provide for his family. It was there that he met lifelong friends.
Nikolaos was a man of many talents, from his love of artwork to music.
He was an electrician by trade, but his greatest work was his family. He was a grandfather to Jianna and Nicole. Both of which held a special place in his heart.
Nikolaos gave unselfishly to everyone he knew.
