Michele Hankins' Obituary
Michele Hankins, was the loving daughter of Catherine A. Zoldak Hankins (deceased). Their mutual love of the theatre took them on many traveling adventures to New York and Las Vegas, where Michele collected playbills from just about every Broadway show that played in New York since her early childhood.
Michele had a talent for many crafts, from knitting to card making to stamping. When she moved from her home in Sagamore Hills of more than 40 years to Brentwood Healthcare, she donated 27 large bins of gorgeous yarns to various knitting circles that knit for charity.
Michele who was a career beautician had a passion for watching Movie Musicals, TV Westerns and Baseball. She adored her cats and always had at least two. She is survived by her most favorite kitty of all, MISCHIEF.
It should be known that Michele was a huge BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FANatic and collector. She is the owner of one of the largest Bruce Springsteen collections in the world.
My name is Julie Matthews. I was Michele's friend and neighbor for 39 years. I know for sure that she was extremely grateful and thankful to the caregivers and nurses at Brentwood Healthcare who took very good care of her these past few years. She didn't ask for much, her needs were simple, however she did CRAVE Arby's Jamocha shakes which she summoned me to bring to her on a regular basis. I will miss that.....and her.
