Mary Anton (nee Samouris) 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 23, 2024.
Cherished wife for 69 years of Plato Anton (deceased). Beloved daughter of the late
William and Mersini Samouris. Loving sister of the late Violet (Steven) Papouras. Dear
mother of Sherry (Frederick) Jones, William (Ramona), Chris (Susan). Grandmother of
Kuper Jones (fiancé Erica), Alexander Jones, Gordon Anton, Alexis Anton, John Plato
Anton, Mea Anton (Steven Murphy), Christine Anton. Great Grandmother of Nicolas
Alexander Jones. Beloved aunt of Tina (deceased) (Robert) Blackham, Chad and
Robbie, Peter Papouras (Carolee). Godmother to many. Mary was an active member
of the Greek Orthodox community and served with the Philoptochos Society for the Sts.
Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was an AHEPA Queen in the
early 1950’s. Mary was a constant entertainer and always served her guests with
elegance and grace. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Constantine and
Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral 3352 Mayfield Rd. Cleveland Hts, Ohio 44118. All services
Thursday June 27, 2024 at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral,
visitation 10:30 am to noon, funeral service at 12:00, interment immediate following at
Lake View Cemetery.
