Laverne Bobal's Obituary
Laverne Frances Bobal (nee Nightingale), passed away peacefully on May 4, 2017 after a brief illness. Loving wife of John (deceased); beloved mother of Judy Bobal and Janet Antz, cherished grandmother of Brandon Antz; dearest daughter of Anna (nee Mueller) and Valentine Nightingale (both deceased); loving sister of Lawrence Nightingale (deceased), Shirley Roman (Anthony) and Arlene Genutis (deceased); cherished aunt and friend of many. Laverne was born at home on Harvard Avenue on January 30, 1928 and looked forward each year to celebrating her birthday with her family. She graduated from South High School, and in later years attended cake decorating school and passionately enjoyed baking and making beautiful cakes for family and friends. Laverne worked at Dupont, Cleveland Trust, Gastown and Weight Watchers, and was an ardent Cleveland Indians fan. Her greatest achievement and the pride of her life were her two children and grandson, to whom she devoted everything. The best of her, lives on in each of them. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be MONDAY, MAY 8, 2017 at 11AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Rd. Garfield Heights, OH. VISITATION Will take place from 10 to 11 AM at Church before the service. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
