I appreciated John's Humor and commitment to serving others in ministry and especially his devotion to teaching God's Word. I served with him on the Deacon Board of Bethany during the year 2012-2016 and we spent many a Sunday Afternoon together counting the offering and exchanging stories about the Yankees vs. the Indians. While from different generations altogether I appreciated his engaging me as a younger brother in the Lord's Service on many occasions.
