Joanne Elliott's Obituary
Joanne J. Elliott (Manos), 76 of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Elliott. Born in Episkopi, Rethymno, Crete, Greece she was the daughter of the late Manousos and Georgia (Petroulakis) Manousogianakis.
Joanne immigrated to Akron, Ohio in 1956 with her brother Emmanuel and her sister Cleo. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking for her grandchildren and making everyone laugh around her even up to her last moments.
She is survived by her beloved children, Julia and Walter Almeida, Michelle and George Marnelakis, Maria and George Doukakis and John M. Elliott; her 8 adored grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas Almeida, Eftihi (Eleni), Mihali (Zoe) and Xristina Joanna Marnelakis, Stavroula, Sofia and Andonia Doukakis, and her great-grandchildren Mihalitsa and Giorgos Marnelakis.
Her brother Rouso (Georgia) Manos of California and sisters Katina Makrimanolaki and Cleo Manousogianaki of Crete, Greece, her sister in law Cleo Manos of Akron, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband Michael, brothers Iosif and Ioannis Manousogiankis, Emmanuel Manos and sister Maria Zampetaki.
ALL SERVICES SATURDAY April 12th at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church 4548 Wallings Rd. North Royalton 44133. Visitation one hour prior from 12-1pm with the funeral service to follow at 1pm. Burial St. Theodosius Cemetery. Arrangements by Yurch Funeral Home www.yurchfunerals.com.
