Florence McLaughlin's Obituary
Florence McLaughlin, 87, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Middleburgh Heights. Loving wife of the late Curtis McLaughlin. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 27, 1938, to John and Rita ( nee Parzych ) Gasiewski. She worked her entire career at Ohio Bell, from where she retired. Florence enjoyed her bowling league, gardening, sewing, and traveling. She cherished laughing and spending time with her beloved family and friends. Florence was a loving mother to Debbie McLaughlin, Cathleen ( Randy ) Howell, Curtis McLaughlin Jr., and daughter-in-law Regina Reginelli; sister, Marie ( Lenny ) Laska; grandchildren, Amy ( Keith ) Boeckmann, Sandra McLaughlin, Timothy ( Nina ) Howell, Ashley McLaughlin, Jamie ( Mary Kate ) McLaughlin, Matthew Howell, Nicole McLaughlin, and Curtis McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Edward Boeckmann, Avah Williams, Quintin Derry, Jonathan Howell, Anthony Howell, Madison Sharpe, Lucas Sharpe, Amelia Sharpe, Emma Howell, Mason Howell, Mila Howell, and RaeLynn Grace McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, her son Curtis Jr., her parents; siblings, John Gasiewski, Billy Gasiewski, Richard Gasiewski, Jerry Gasiewski, and Irene Niece. Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Yurch Funeral Home 5618 Broadview Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
