Evangelos K Salamalekis' Obituary
Evangelos Salamalekis died peacefully at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Westake, Ohio surrounded by his family on August 29, 2021. Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Anezina (nee Kokkas). Admired father of Popi (Joe) Riedel, and Gus (Kristen) Salamalekis. Brother of Despina Likouri and Emmanuel Salamalekis (deceased). Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Born in Lekka, Samos, Greece in 1934 came to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1961, and they came to Cleveland, Ohio in 1969. He was a very hard worker and devoted family man. Evangelos loved his family, friends, attending Greek events and going to Church. He loved walking and enjoyed drives with his family through the Metro Parks. ALL SERVICES at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 2187 W. 14th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113 on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. VISITATION from 10:00 -11:00am with the FUNERAL SERVICE to follow at 11:00am. Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
