Emily Miklis' Obituary
Emily Miklis (nee Condopoulos), age 100, passed away at her home on April 24, 2024.
Beloved wife of Harry Miklis (deceased) and mother to daughter, Ellen Karavolos, (deceased).
She is survived by her son-in-law, Michael Karavolos, and two grandsons, Nicholas and Alex
Karavolos and her sister, Toni Lesser (David), and was preceded in death by her sister, Effie
Chapman (Kent). She was the aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was born on October 25, 1923, to Gregory and Persephone Condopoulos (both
deceased) in Cleveland, Ohio. She was married to Harry Miklis on September 18, 1960. Her
daughter Ellen was born on October 3, 1962. She initially worked as a controller at
Leece-Neville for 16 years. She then was a Professor at Cuyahoga Community College,
serving on all three campuses. She held a doctorate in Business Administration from Kent
State University.
Visitation and Funeral services are to be held on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Sts.
Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3352 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights. Visitation from 10 to 11AM with Funeral Service to follow at 11AM.
Interment will be at Lake View Cemetery.
