Dimitry Bakan, age 99. Beloved husband of the late Loretta (nee Stawarski) of 66 years. Loving father of Pamela (Thomas) Schuck, Timothy (Michelle) Bakan, Nancy (David, deceased) Orient, and William (Michelle) Bakan. Grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 4. Brother of the following deceased: Ann (Myron) Caborn and Mildred (Eric) Buchanan. A WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the 4th Marines 14th battalion from July 1942 to February 1946. He was a platoon sergeant and was on Okinawa, Tinian, Saipan, and Leyte islands. He retired from Ohio Bell after 36 years. VISITATION FRIDAY from 4-7 PM at YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Rd.
