Catherine Klarr's Obituary
Catherine (Kay) Klarr (nee Mikula) passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022. She was born on July 09, 1929 in Barton, Ohio and was preceded in death by her husband Francis (Frank) Klarr after 60 years of marriage.
Catherine was the beloved mother of Sophia Zond (decd) and Mary Ockrassa (Bruce) of Texas. She is the grandmother of Jennifer Bertemes (Josh) and Jonathan Zond (Amy) of Arkansas. She is the great grandmother of Cullen, Tyler, Alexis and Emma. Catherine is preceded in death by her brother Stephen Mikula.
Catherine was a member of Archangel Michael Orthodox church. She was baptized and married at St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Barton, Ohio where she grew up. She graduated from St Clairsville High School and attended reunions with her life long friend Marcy Porter for many decades.
We especially thank the staff, at every level, at Vista Springs Greenbrier of Parma for the compassionate, loving care given to Catherine for over the past 3 years. We also thank Holy Family Hospice for their care.
ALL SERVICES at ARCHANGEL MICHAEL ORTHODOX CHURCH, 5025 East Mill Rd. Broadview Hts, OH 44147 on WEDNESDAY JANUARY 19, 2022. VISITATION from 9 to 10 AM with FUNERAL SERVICE TO FOLLOW AT 10 AM. Interment at St. Theodosius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Ohio at their website https://sooh.org/
