Bruno Christani's Obituary
Bruno (Chris) Christani beloved husband to Mary Christani (nee Fedorko) passed away Saturday January 25, peacefully in his sleep.
Bruno was a devoted husband and family man; he built the home that the family resided in and was a long-time resident of Munson Twp. He was a father to Mary D Valko and John B Christani, Grandfather of 4 and Great Grandfather of 6 who overcame challenges and instilled strong values in his children. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mary of 64 years.
Bruno enjoyed gardening and canning. He was an excellent cook and baker. In his later years he was an amateur radio operator. His logbooks show his many contacts with people throughout the United States and the world.
He was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mentor Ohio since the founding of the church in 1973.
Bruno worked at TRW Valve Division in Euclid for 37 years until his retirement.
Proud U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Japan after WWII as a radio operator.
All viewing and services will take place at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 9650 Johnnycake Ridge Road Mentor Ohio.
Visitation Friday Jan 31st 4pm – 7pm followed by a Vigil for the Departed at 7pm, following that a reception will be held in the parish hall.
Funeral Service Saturday Feb 1st. will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
Burial will take place immediately following the service at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Rt. 306 in Chesterland.
Following the burial, all are invited to return to St. Nicholas Parish hall for a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bruno's name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
