Bessie Pappas' Obituary
Bessie Pappas (nee Bafaloukos), age 88, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. She was born in Agios Sostis, Nea Smirni, Greece on July 5, 1936 to the late Nick and Pauline Bafaloukos. She arrived in the U.S. in 1952 and shortly later met the love of her life Earnest “Taso” Pappas. They married in 1957 and were married for 32 years. They were blessed with 4 children: John (Andrea), Nick (Diane), Tom (Debbie), and Elaine (Teodoro). Bessie was a loving Yiayia to Anastasios (Megan), the late Victor, Nick (Ashley), Steven (Emily), Victoria (Vincenzo), Nicole (Seth), Tricia (John), Michael (Ryleigh), Christopher, Angel (Mary), Vincente (Jennifer), Theo, and Anastasia. Great grandmother of Oliver, Arthur, Lilliana, Riley, Aria, Abel, and Elena. Sister of John (Nikki), and beloved aunt and great aunt to many.
ALL SERVICES at ANNUNCIATION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 2187 W. 14th St. Cleveland, OH 44113 on FRIDAY MARCH 7, 2025. VISITATION from 10 to 11AM with FUNERAL SERVICE TO FOLLOW at 11AM. Interment at St. Theodosius Cemetery.
