Annette Packis' Obituary
Annette Packis (nee Skoules) passed away Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, a week after her 90th birthday. Annette was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in the midst of the Great Depression, to Greek immigrant parents Daniel (deceased) and Anna (deceased) Skoules. Eight years later, she welcomed her brother John Skoules (deceased) to their home. She graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to secretarial work. In 1959, she married George Packis (deceased) at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. They raised a family together, buying their first house in Lakewood and later moving to Westlake raising their sons Tom, Dan, Andrew (deceased), and Dean. George and Annette were married for 62 years, until his passing in 2001. As well as raising her children, she also did bookwork for her husband’s businesses. She continued the real estate business for the two decades after George's passing. Annette was active at Saint Demetrios Church Greek Orthodox Church, volunteering at festivals and with the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. Annette enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader, filling her home with books. She is survived by her devoted sons, Tom, Dan, and Dean, as well as Dan’s wife Carolyn, and their daughters, Cassie and Anna, and many nieces and nephews. Annette is also survived by her sisters-in-laws, Tessie Lekas (Louie deceased) and Olga Packis (Nick deceased).

Funeral Service on Friday June 27, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22909 Center Ridge Rd. Rocky River, OH 44116. Interment at St. Theodosius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Demetrios Philoptochos Society.
