Andreas Gousios' Obituary
Andreas’s life began in a small mountain top village (Kefalovriso) in Greece. He and his family endured a difficult life through WW2 with Nazis occupying his village as well as his home, he frequently spoke of the fear and hunger they all endured. His desire to seek a better life for his family led him to immigrate to this country with his young family and achieve a life of success through hard work, love and devotion to his family. His unwavering commitment and appreciation to Ford Motor Company for employing him, led him to dedicate 33 years of service to Ford. He was an incredibly talented carpenter all of his life, building his home in Nemea, Greece and multiple homes here in America, he had endless energy to work and learn. He loved to recite philosophical readings and poems that he said he learned when tending sheep (his first job) in the village.
Son of the late George and Maria Gousios, preceded in death by his son George Gousios, and siblings (Dimitra, Aristides, Melia, and Dina). Husband to Barbara Gousios of 73 years. Father to George, Angelo (Liz) Gousios, and Maria (Richard) Blinkhorn. Beloved Pappou to Andrea (Brandon), Kyle (Alexis), and Ryan (Kim), also survived by many nieces and nephews.
