PLATO EFTHIMIOS ANTON, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Cherished husband of Mary Anton for 69 years; dear father of Sherry (Frederick), William (Ramona), Chris (Susan); loving brother of the late Cleo Antonopoulos, and Thalia Antonopoulos; beloved son of the late Efthimios and Katherine Antonopoulos; grandfather of Kuper Jones, Alexander Jones (Nancy), Gordon Anton, Alexis Anton, John Anton, Mea Anton (fiance Stephen), Christine Anton; great grandfather of Nicholas Alexander Jones; beloved uncle of Tina Blackham (Robert) Chad, Robbie Blackham, and Peter Papouras (Carolee). Plato was a United States Army veteran serving in WWII. He was very active in the Greek community in Cleveland, having been one of the founding fathers of Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral. He also served his community as a dry cleaner and entrepreneur for 63 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral 3352 Mayfield Rd. Cleveland, OH 44118. ALL SERVICES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2021 AT STS. CONSTANTINE AND HELEN GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH. Visitation 10-12 noon followed by funeral service at 12. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
