Antonios Payamgis

February 23, 1937 - May 10, 2022

Antonios G. Payamgis, age 85, born in Kiato, Greece to Georgios Pagiamtzis and Marianthi (nee Papanikolaou). Tony was married to Ioanna (Joan) née Moutsopoulos (deceased) they had 3 children, George (Jennifer) Helen Mozden (Edward) and MaryAnn. He is the Grandfather to 6. Katarina, Sophia, Alexa, Joseph, Penelope and Phoebe. He leaves his sister Thodora. Other family that preceded him in death include: Urania, Niko, Vasilli, Mihali, Simo and Katina. He grew up in the midst of the Axis occupation in Greece. Always caring for his family members. Antonios worked in manufacturing and owned a tavern in Tremont before retiring. His favorite pastime was gardening. He never missed a chance to watch his favorite tv shows, Let’s Make a Deal, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Of course he loved watching his beloved Cleveland Indians. His infectious smile will be missed. VISITATION FRIDAY from 4 to 8PM at YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Rd. Parma, OH. 44134. TRISAGION SERVICE at 6PM. FUNERAL SERVICE SATURDAY MAY 14, 2022 at 10AM at ST. MATTHEW the EVANGELIST ORTHODOX CHURCH, 10383 Albion Rd. North Royalton, OH 44133. Interment at St. Theodosius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Antonios’ name may be made to St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 4548 Wallings Rd. North Royalton, OH 44133 or to St. Matthew Orthodox Church.
