Thank you Rich. I was in shock, I believe, and neglected to add to the obituary that he left behind brothers, Rich Mauer (Tracie), Michael Gelotti (Theresa) and John Groffices (Michelle), Aunt Dolly and Uncle Joe Ptak, mother-n-law Dolores Mauer, and many, nieces and nephews.
My Dearest Gina : I have no words to express my condolences and sympathy to you and your family. Chet was so good to your “Babies “ and good to me .What a Wonderful cook, landscaper, handyman,painter, really a jack of all trades a hard hard worker That would help me plenty !! Wonderful neighbor and mostly Our Friend. He will be so sadly missed around here,and in our neighborhood those shoes can’t be filled.

So many fishing trips with Chet, he was a boat captain on several charter boats, first mate, mechanic....🐟🐬🐋🦈🐠🦀🦑🦐 everything and anything to do with maritime. He love to fish as much as I did..... maybe a little more? LOL, not to mention all the trips to Windsor, Canada. This was one lucky guy on the slots, so many times he would put few dollars in and walk away with a thousand or more. We had a lot of fun together he's a good friend and family member.
